Please note:

PA, PT, and Pharm students: YOU MUST carpool with your classmates from your campus and plan to arrive at the farm by 6:00 p.m.

 

All other students: YOU MUST carpool/caravan from UConn Health Hospital Entrance. We meet at 4:45 p.m. sharp at the HOSPITAL Entrance and depart no later than 5:00 p.m.

 

Timing arrival for carpool from UConn Health:

• Please plan to arrive between 4:30-4:45 as we depart by 5:00 p.m. sharp.

• You may need to allow yourself an extra 15 minutes for parking.

Immediately prior to arriving UConn Health and/or farm clinic location be sure to:

• Use the restroom (there are no public restrooms at farm)

• Eat dinner & drink water (please bring bottled water)

 

Directions to UConn Health:

Use GPS to enter via 263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, CT 06030 (whenever possible, carpool with others from your campus)

 

Directions once on campus:

When you enter the campus from the 263 Farmington Avenue (not other entrances)

• go straight through the rotary

• at the fork in the road, stay LEFT

• go straight through next two stop signs

• self-park your car in Garage 3 ($1 an hour) or park in visitor parking. Sorry, but we have no parking validation available. Also, please do not park in area 1, 2, or 3 you will be ticketed and do not valet as the valet station closes before we return to UConn Health.

 

Once parked:

• Lock all valuables in car

• We ask our volunteer to help us load supplies unless you are physically unable

• Look for our student coordinators in teal colored shirts with “STAFF” on the back. Tell them you are here for clinic and ask if you can help

• If you don’t see anyone with a teal STAFF t-shirt on, plan to:

o Enter the entrance under construction also called the “Old main” or “Dental” entrance. Look left for elevators, and take elevators to ground floor (“G”). Outside elevator make U-turn to the left following signs for CT AHEC

o You will find our lead coordinators who can tell you what supplies to grab

 

Note: Even though the addresses are listed below, we DO NOT recommend the use of GPS mapping systems to navigate to the farms.
