Petra Clark-Dufner, MA, is Associate Director for the CT Area Health Education Center Program at the University of Connecticut. She has more than 28 years in higher education serving multiple roles (project director, associate director, consultant, curriculum specialist, and counselor) for a variety of educational programs and organizations (Health Careers Opportunity Programs, TRIO (Upward Bound and Student Support Services), Collegiate Awareness and Preparation Program (ConnCAP), and the Area Health Education Center Programs (Associate Director and Director of the Urban Service Track). As the Associate Director she has responsibility for the day-to-day management and oversight of the CT AHEC Program’s Program Office which includes coordination of programs, data collection and evaluation as well as fiscal management. She is also the Director of the University’s Urban Service Track which engages more than 190 health profession students from the University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University in enhanced learning opportunities that integrate inter-professional collaborative practice and service learning. Petra is also an instructor for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine teaching Principles of Clinical Medicine to 2nd year medical students.
